Working in your workspace
A shorter path from thought to task
Say it.
Let it get to work.
- 01
Make a familiar call.
Call a dedicated Telegram account from your phone. DictOps accepts calls from the owner you configure.
- 02
Talk with your workspace.
Explain the task and discuss the next step. Codex works with the project and permissions configured on your Mac.
- 03
Pick up where you left off.
Hanging up doesn’t cancel the task. Call again to continue the same conversation, or inspect your sessions in the terminal.
A voice bridge to your own setup
Your work stays
within reach.
The bridge runs on your Mac. Your working directory, session and access settings stay under your control.
- One ongoing conversation
- The voice session is retained between calls and bridge restarts.
- A terminal when you need it
- Browse Codex sessions, manage the bridge and adjust settings from the local interface.
- Recording off by default
- The bridge doesn’t save call audio or transcripts unless you enable recording. Codex keeps its own conversation history.
Start with your setup
Bring your Mac.
And your next idea.
DictOps is an early preview for people already working with Codex.
Before your first call
- A Mac with Apple SiliconKeep it awake, connected and running the bridge.
- An authorized Codex CLIVoice uses the experimental Codex Realtime API. Availability depends on your account.
- A separate Telegram accountThe bridge uses a user account to receive calls, plus your Telegram API credentials.
- Access to the current releaseDistribution is currently through a private repository. Public downloads are not available yet.
Already have access? Install the native package and run dictops to configure your bridge.
A few things to know.
Does everything run locally?
The bridge and workspace operations run on your Mac. Calls use Telegram, and voice processing and agent responses use OpenAI services. DictOps is not an offline voice assistant.
What happens when I hang up?
The current Codex task continues while the bridge is running. Calling again resumes the same conversation. DictOps does not automatically call you back.
Can it change files on my computer?
Codex can act within the permissions you configure. The default workspace mode limits writes to the configured workspace; broader access is an explicit setting. Review important changes as you would with any coding agent.
Is it ready for every platform and workflow?
This is an early preview tested on macOS Apple Silicon. Other platforms and uninterrupted long-term operation are not yet verified. Voice recognition can mishear exact filenames and code, so check values that need to be precise.
